Veterinary Assistant

Hailey started her career in the veterinary field in 2017 as a receptionist at a general practice. After mastering her position she moved over to the treatment side and began gaining hands-on experience as an assistant. Since joining the StaVet team in the fall of 2022 she continues to grow through continuing education and learning from our awesome veterinarians.

Hailey’s Story

I knew after working in the field as a receptionist I wanted to do more to help our patients. Transfering to the treatment team as an assistant allowed me to be more involved with patient care and client education. I enjoy seeing a case through, and being a voice for patients.

As an assistant, I do a little bit of everything! I work hand and hand with our veterinarians in a variety of ways before, during and after procedures and appointments. A couple of my duties include; obtaining an accurate patient history, filling prescription medications, collecting and running diagnostics as well as addressing andy questions you may have regarding your pets.

When arriving home after a long day I am greeted by both my fur babies! Marley is a border collie/blue heeler mix who is full of energy and Millie is a terrier mix who is special needs as she is blind. Outside of work I spend as much time as I can enjoying the outdoors with my canine companions and going on adventures. When we are taking a break from exploring you’d most likely find me with my friends and loved ones.
